All year round there is plenty of character with the original oak beams and windows on 2 aspects. |

KITCHEN / DINER A mixture of old & new. The oak beams, terracotta floor tiles, wood burning stove, free standing kitchen units, butler sink and oak farmhouse table with seating for 8, mix with modern electric oven & ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave & coffee maker. The kitchen is well equipped with all cooking & dining utensils. This room leads on to a laundry area with washing machine and a walk in pantry for your food storage as well as barbecue tools & ironing equipment

BEDROOMS If you like original beams & roof timbers and exposed stone walls coupled with comfortable antique furniture, then you will love these bedrooms. First Floor 1st Double Bedroom Lie on the double iron & brass bedstead and look up at a 20 foot high vaulted ceiling with lovely timbers and lovingly restored granite stone walls. Move your gaze down past the wall tapestry and Breton fireplace to see the antique walnut armoire, chest of drawers, bedside cupboards & dressing table. A ceiling fan will keep you cool in the summer & warm in the winter 2nd Double Bedroom Again a 20 foot high vaulted ceiling showing off period roof timbers & exposed stone walls give a sumptuous feel to the room. This room is furnished with antique furniture including a carved walnut double bed, walnut lowboy dressing table & bedside cabinets, 2 mahogany chests of drawers and a mahogany mirrored armoire. There is also a fan as in the room above. 1st Twin Bedroom An interesting room with a mixture of old beams, wood panelling & stone mullion windows. This is your chance to sleep in a C16th oak Rope bed. There are 2 in the room - not a matching pair but both larger than average single size. You will have heard the expression "sleep tight" - this comes from the tightening of the ropes which support the mattresses. Don`t worry we will do this for you before you arrive. There is plenty of storage space with painted wardrobe & chest of drawers & a bedside table Ground Floor 2nd Twin Bedroom/Second Sitting Room Stone mullion windows and feature wall combine with painted panelling and period beams to give a cosy feeling to this room. If you are using this as a bedroom then there is an old oak sleigh bed & an antique walnut day bed. If you are using this as a 2nd sitting room then both beds convert to comfortable seating. There is also a large period armoire with hanging & shelf space as well as a storage chest & bedside cupboards All bedrooms are heated with thermostatically controlled electric heaters for colder periods of the year |
